Michael Francis is founder and CEO of Farview Associates, a strategic investment and consulting firm focused on brand creation and retail activation. Farview works with a number of high-profile celebrities, designers, and Fortune 50 companies.
Francis has more than thirty years of senior executive leadership in retail, including as president of J. C. Penney and various leadership positions during his twenty-seven years at Target Corporation, including his role as global chief marketing officer.
Francis most recently served as chief global brand officer for DreamWorks Animation SKG, where his responsibilities included content creation and distribution, licensing, consumer product development and live-action experiences.
Aside from serving on the Musical Instrument Museum board of directors, Francis also serves on the national board of the Smithsonian Institution as well as on the board of trustees of the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum and the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
