Congratulations to Dr. Ruth Tan Lim

Dr. Ruth Tan Lim, a volunteer team member and a founding donor at MIM, was recently honored at the 36th Annual Arizona Governor’s Arts Awards ceremony. Her award in the Individual Category recognizes individuals or organizations for their work in and support of arts and culture in the state.

“The arts community in Arizona is lucky to have a friend like Dr. Lim,” says Niki Cuccinotto, MIM’s education specialist.

In addition to being a practicing physician for more than thirty-five years, Lim has also been a donor, volunteer, and arts advocate at various organizations throughout the Valley. She believes that all people should have access to the arts, especially children and young adults.

Lim serves as board member at the Mesa Arts Center (MAC) Foundation and the i.d.e.a Museum. She also ushers at the Chandler Center for the Arts and the Arizona Opera and volunteers as a docent at Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum. She has also helped MIM advance its mission with contributions to the museum’s fund-raising efforts, educational programs, and Volunteer Department.

MIM is eminently proud of Dr. Lim’s association with the museum and extremely grateful for her continued contributions to the arts.
