If you are looking to be blown away by raw talent, then look no further than Griffin House.
—American Songwriter
Singer-songwriter Griffin House moved to Nashville in 2003 with not much more than a guitar and a handful of songs. A few months later, he got his big break: a deal with Nettwerk Records, which released his critically acclaimed debut, Lost and Found, in 2004. Tours with acts like John Mellencamp and the Cranberries soon followed. Today, he i’s a well-known performer and songwriter and an established national headliner.
House’s new record, Stories for a Rainy Day, is a nine-song concept record written during the pandemic and recorded in just three days, and it is being described as happiest and most upbeat record yet. The album was recorded using a stripped-down trio setup with New Jersey-based musicians Eric Novod on drums, Mark Masefield on keys, and House on guitars and vocals. With minimal production and the band playing together as opposed to overdubbing, the songs have space to be playful, free, and alive.
