Henry Kapono is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and performer whose legacy spans more than five decades. He has received a Grammy nomination and won numerous Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards—Hawaii’s premier music award—as a solo performer, including Male Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year, Single of the Year, and Album of the Year.

This year, Kapono celebrates 50 years of the era-defining, laid-back island rock of Cecilio and Kapono, the group with which he rose to fame in the 1970s. Performing solo, Kapono takes the audience back in time, performing the much-loved songs of Cecilio and Kapono—romantic ballads, songs of the land, and island party tunes designed to put a smile on your face and good feelings in your heart.
