Based around the compositions of Saman Mahmoudi, Light of Hope is a world music ensemble rooted in Persian classical music. Using such instruments as the santur (a Persian struck zither), tonbak (goblet drum), and tablā, the group portrays through music an image of love, unity, strength, and truth.
