A nine-time Grammy nominee, Tierney Sutton has received a Best Jazz Vocal Album nomination for every record she has released in the past 15 years. Known for her impeccable voice and superbly imaginative arrangements, Sutton is heralded as a storyteller and for her ability to transform even the most familiar song into a revelation.

Following the success of 2014’s Paris Sessions, Sutton revisited its spare and intimate format after forging an indelible chemistry with classically trained Parisian guitarist and arranger Serge Merlaud. Now married, Sutton and Merlaud deepened their musical connection on Paris Sessions 2. They are joined by acoustic bass guitarist Kevin Axt—a member of Sutton’s band since 2005 and a key component of the first Paris Sessions—who weaves resounding bass lines and chordal work behind Merlaud’s lyrical guitar solos and Sutton’s soaring vocals.
