Join seven-time Grammy nominee Will Clipman for an evening at the intersection of world music, storytelling, and multicultural mask art. Clipman’s performance on a global palette of indigenous instruments is interwoven with spellbinding tales, all punctuated by his original mask art, which he uses to transform into the narrator spirits of his original stories.
Clipman is a three-time Native American Music Award Winner. He has recorded over 60 albums, including over 30 for Canyon Records, where he is regarded as the house percussionist and has performed with R. Carlos Nakai and William Eaton, among many other internationally acclaimed artists. In his 40-year career as an arts educator, Clipman has conducted hundreds of workshops, lecture-demonstrations, master classes, and artist-in-residencies. His service as an arts educator has been honored with the Arizona Commission on the Arts Decade of Distinguished Service Award and three Arizona Governor’s Arts Award Nominations.
