She plays the mandolin with a degree of refined elegance and freedom that few have achieved.

Sierra Hull has been recognized from the age of 11 as a musical prodigy and virtuoso mandolin player, astonishing audiences and fellow musicians alike.
—BroadwayWorld
In her first 25 years, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sierra Hull hit more milestones than many musicians accomplish in a lifetime. After making her Grand Ole Opry debut at 10, the Tennessee-bred virtuoso mandolinist played Carnegie Hall at 12. She landed a deal with Rounder Records a year later.
In 2020, Hull delivered her fourth full-length album, the elegantly inventive and endlessly captivating 25 Trips. Revealing her profound warmth as a storyteller, 25 Trips finds Hull shedding light on the beauty, chaos, and sorrow of growing up and getting older. The title nods to a particularly momentous year of her life, when she married fellow bluegrass musician Justin Moses and released the widely acclaimed Weighted Mind—a Béla Fleck-produced album nominated for Best Folk Album at the 2017 Grammy Awards. Even as its songs shift genres from bluegrass to folk-pop to ethereal alt-rock, 25 Trips remains rooted in the sophisticated musicianship that Hull has cultivated.
