Mini Gallery Talk | Klezmer Music: Tradition and Celebration 11:00 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. United States / Canada Gallery Join MIM curators Richard Walter or David Wegehaupt at the Klezmer exhibit in the United States / Canada Gallery for a brief discussion of the history, revival, and evolution of klezmer music, and the many settings where this evocative music is performed.
Kwanzaa Holiday Performance 11:30 a.m., 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. Main Courtyard Experience a 30-minute Kwanzaa cultural celebration as musicians from Sankofa-Island Magic share the traditions of the first fruits of harvest and the Seven Principles of Kwanzaa through music, song, and movement.
Holiday Spotlight: Reed Trio 12:30–1:00 p.m. MIM Music Theater Join Phoenix’s premier Reed Trio, the Paradise Winds, as they perform delightful Christmas and Hanukkah favorites.
Pop-Up Performance: Harp Holiday Music 2:45–3:00 p.m. El Río Enjoy a 15-minute set of traditional holiday songs as harp sounds fill the museum’s main corridor.
